The NDP is not anti resource extraction.
This from Richard Cannings our MP in South Okanagan West Kootenay.
He’s speaking following the resolution by the membership at the national convention to discuss the so-called Leap Manifesto. The document was drawn up by activists who are strongly against resource extraction.
Cannings has difficulty with that.
On the key issue of the NDP leadership Cannings says as a strong supporter of Thomas Mulcair he’s disappointed the membership voted that he should step down.
But he’s pleased Mulcair will remain on an interim basis until a new leader is found.
