Portion of the Evacuation Order downgraded due to the Nk’Mip Creek wildfire

With the recommendation from the BC Wildfire Service, the Regional District of Kootenay Boundary (RDKB) has downgraded the Evacuation Order for 123 properties to an Evacuation Alert.

The properties are in Electoral Area E/West Boundary and will join the already 34 houses on alert.

“Residents are asked to stay clear of structure protection equipment, which is still in place but will be demobilized by fire personnel over the next few days,” said the RDKB

Currently, the Mk’Mip Creek wildfire sits at 20,066 hectares in size.
