A 62-year-old Grand Forks woman has died in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 3 east of Greenwood.
RCMP say it happened early Sunday evening and involved a Chevrolet Tracker and a Subaru Outback.
The initial investigation has determined the driver of the Tracker lost control on icy roads and crossed the centre line into the path of the Outback. The passenger of the Tracker died in hospital several hours later. The driver of that vehicle was also taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The occupants of the other vehicle were not seriously injured.
RCMP say road conditions were reportedly poor, but they haven’t ruled anything else out at this stage.
