The Grand Forks Public Library Board and Public Library workers have reached a new collective agreement. The workers were represented by CUPE Local 2254, and National Servicing Representative John Hall was the negotiator. He says an annual wage increase is one take-away from the agreement.
Hall says there’s more to it.
He adds the library has programs and services that are vital to the community.
The probation period being lowered was another of many changes. They had a letter of understanding to improve benefits. The new agreement is effective from July 1st 2018 to June 30th 2021.
