MyHealthPortal Continues To Expand

If you’re a Boundary resident using MyHealthPortal, there’s good news. The service gives patients online access to Interior Health lab results. Currently over 50,000 patients use the service to access medical imaging reports, visit history, certain appointment details and more.

Health Director of Clinic Informatics David Sookaveiff says as of last Wednesday patients can access even more now! “Clinic reports from specialists and discharge summaries, the implementation is being done in a phased approach, we started with a small pilot in June in Vernon and will be completely implemented across all of Interior Health later in September.”

He says to enroll, ask to have your e-mail added to your patient record. “They can do this at a medical imaging site, at a lab site, or at a registration desk at one of our facilities. Once the e-mail address is on the patient record, the patient can then go to www.InteriorHealth.ca to self-register.”

Sookaveiff adds that feedback has been positive. “We completed a client experience survey last year and more than 90% of our respondents responded- reported, a positive experience with enrollment and navigating the portal. A majority of MyHealthPortal clients reported improved self management and increased knowledge about their health as well.”

With this change minors aged 12 to 18 will also have access to MyHealthPortal. The service was launched in 2016. For more information click here.
