Weapons, Cash, and Drugs Seized by Grand Forks RCMP

B.C. RCMP reports two men have been arrested after Grand Forks RCMP were called to investigate an attempted break and enter. The call was to a Christina Lake sporting goods business last Thursday. The owner reported that two men attempted to break into a Sea-Can storage unit owned by the business, but left in a vehicle prior to police arriving. The vehicle was later located on Caitlin Road, and both men were arrested without incident.

Over $11,000 in Canadian cash, several knives, bear spray, a small amount of suspected cannabis, and an unidentified white powdery substance were allegedly found by RCMP. Also discovered were identification and government issued cheques belonging to someone else, paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking and use, break in tools, and body armour. The vehicle was uninsured and bearing somebody else’s license plates. The charges include carrying a weapon or prohibited device/ammo concealed, possession of stolen property over $5000, and more. Both men are 29 years old and from Trail, BC.
