After much anticipation the 37th annual Grand Forks International Baseball Tournament is here. The first official match of the tournament goes tomorrow, June 25th at 10AM, where the Houston Westchase Express faces the San Francisco Seals.
An exhibition game over the weekend saw Union de Reyes, Cuba, beat the Trail Orioles five-nothing. Other teams this year include the Seattle Studs, the Alaska Goldpanners of Fairbanks, the Burnaby Bulldogs, and more.
The Home Run Derby event closes the show for Wednesday night, beginning at 8:30, with opening ceremonies half an hour prior. GFI 37 runs from June 25th to July 1st at James Donaldson Park in Grand Forks. To read the full schedule click here. For more details on the event click here.
